How to play
One run takes about 5 minutes: pick a formation, draft eleven players, coach 34 matchdays, share your verdict. Here is every step.
1. Formation & difficulty
Pick one of six formations — from the balanced 4-4-2 to the high-risk 3-4-3. Each formation shifts your team ratings (attack, defense, possession) and defines the eleven slots you must fill. Details in the formations guide. In Expert mode ratings are hidden during the draft — memory only. Optionally the auto-coach makes every tactical call while you watch.
2. The draft (11 rounds)
Each round the slot machine lands on a club × decade pool — e.g. “FC Bayern · 1970s” or “VfL Wolfsburg · 2000s”. Stronger pools are weighted rarer. From the pool you pick exactly one player; he is placed into his best open slot (out-of-position picks lose effective rating). You have 2 rerolls per run. If nothing fits, smart-spin rerolls for free. With a 5% chance the ⭐ Legends pool appears with 90+ icons — Beckenbauer, Gerd Müller, Kahn, Lewandowski and more.
3. Squad overview
After eleven picks you see your XI on the pitch, the team ratings attack/defense/possession and the honestly computed 34-0-0 probability “1/N”: your chance of winning all 34 matches assuming you counter every opponent.
4. The season (34 matchdays)
Before every matchday the scouting report shows the opponent with their likely style (80% accurate). You pick your tactic from the triangle: Gegenpressing beats possession, possession beats counter, counter beats pressing. Countering is worth roughly +20% attack. Full system in the tactics guide.
Against the three title contenders (home & away) — and during the last three matchdays of a living 34-0-0 run — you get key matches with live text. At the 60th minute you intervene once: all-out attack (risky), fresh legs (clears fatigue) or park it (secure the lead). After five straight wins your XI tires (−1 per further win, up to −5).
5. Verdict & sharing
After 34 matchdays you receive your verdict across eight tiers — from 💀 relegated to 👑 34-0-0 — plus a coach rating (how often your tactic countered) and a share card with a run code. Anyone can replay and verify your run via ?run=CODE. Your best runs enter the Hall of Fame, and along the way you collect 12 achievements.
